2022 Brea Olinda HS Annual Alumni Game
It was the fall of ‘24 and the men of America’s soon to be favorite pastime had come home.
The local boy from Fullerton and his rival ‘Babe Ruth’ would soon compete on a ‘Field of Dreams’. In a rural community that was growing and just incorporated in ‘17 as Brea, CA.
The two giants of American League Baseball would face off again. The ‘Babe’ brought fellow players like, Stan Musial, etc. The local boy, Walter Johnson, who had just won the World Series asked local oil workers ‘drillers’ to form a team and play against the ‘Babe’. On the day of the game, 15.000 local residents showed up to witness an unbelievable and historic event.
